Thank your for your comments, Paul. I’m glad this article resonated. Sugar, as you have found, can have a profound effect on the brain. Unfortunately, this is not spoken about nearly enough. Here is a screenshot of a table, which originally was in my article but I decided to take it out. I think this will be of interest to you. As you can see, wholegrain cereals do not necessarily have a low G.I. So may I suggest that you always have fat with your carbs, as fat lowers the overall glycaemic load, or better still switch to beans instead of starches as they have a much lower GI.
